Fiber Optic Cabling
Toronto, ON
Fiber optic cabling is a long proven solution for communication improvement ranging from video applications, voice, and high-speed internet. As a proven solution, it offers a variety of cost-saving benefits. fiber cabling has long been suggested as a great cost-effective way to improve performance benefits. It offers a high-speed data transmission and it’s handy if wiring distances should exceed 300 feet or about 90 meters. However, in order to deploy or to upgrade the fiber optics, there must be an amount of expertise in order to ensure that it’s scalable and that the communication infrastructure guarantees both speed and reliability.
Take a moment to consider the efficiency and the performance of the passive optical network. Consider the point-to-multipoint and the fiber optics in the network as the architecture employes the optic splitters that will allow for single strands of the optic fibers to serve multiple users. This can reduce the amount of physical cabling that is required and the amount of equipment that is required.
For many companies in industries, Wire Guys have offered up fiber optic cabling services for installation of PONs and for other viable solutions that meet the requirements of today’s communication while preparing the businesses for the opportunities that abound.
With ongoing training ensuring that we’re always up to date on the latest fiber optic technology, we’re at the ready for all of the communication needs and requirements for specific industries and their required applications.
With the latest equipment at the ready for fiber optic installation and all of the required technical education at the ready, we’re experienced and ready to run fiber in all sorts of environments. We offer the latest methods and technologies and we have been tested and certified in all of the required areas.
Fiber Optic Cable Installation
We’re able to install and terminate every type of Fiber Optic Cable. We can install and supply the fiber optic networks and the cabling in a single mode OS1. Our multi-mode OM1, 2, 3, and 4 fiber optic cables are all of the latest technology.
Single mode fibers are utilized for long distance runs that connect different facilities. The Fiber is costly to run, however, it’s an ideal solution for the large amounts of data transfer that often run over long distances.
The multi-mode fiber is ideal as a replacement for the copper or the Ethernet Cabling. Such fiber cable can run long distances where the copper cable would exceed 300 feet. This multi-mode fiber allows for 10 Gigabit Ethernet capability of a distance up to 300 meters.
Fiber Optic Splicing And Termination Services
Regardless of whether you’re running fiber optics backbone or just need some termination and splicing, we’ve got the tech that can do it for you. We have all the fiber termination and splicing tools at the ready and can give you the proper results you’re seeking so that you can run a bandwidth without compromise.
Types of Fiber Cable We Install
We’ve installed and terminated a variety of kinds of fiber optic cables dependent upon the type of environment (indoor or outdoor).

Fiber Optic Cabling FAQs
What Types of Fiber Cable Wire Guys Can Install?
We’ve installed and terminated a variety of kinds of fiber optic cables dependent upon the type of environment (indoor or outdoor).
We also have armored fiber and can offer both design and consulting services that work well with the fiber optic cabling. As the technology shifts and advances, we can work with you to help determine the right specs for your requirements.
What are the different kinds of Fiber Optic Cables?
There are many different types available. From single mode to multimode we have what you need. Multimode comes in 2 different core sizes: 50micron and the 62.5micron. Single mode offers 50 times the distance over the multimode. Sing mode is 8 to 10-micron glass core and offers only one path for light.
What will my business require?
Fiber is reliable and less susceptible to attenuation and can transmit data more than 100 meters. Copper can’t do this. Many small and medium-sized businesses use MM or the Multi-mode. Within a building, you’ll want multi-mode. Single mode is more typically used in networking as opposed to buildings.
What kind of cabling is better than copper?
Fiber optics offer a variety of benefits over copper. Fiber is less costly and you can build longer point links in your fiber optics. Conventional data cables won’t allow for this and the bandwidth will be better with the fiber optics. It’s lighter, requires minimal space and is not affected by any electrical interferences.
How can fiber work for digital audio and video?
Digital files are frequently transported long distances via fiber optics. when the audio is embedded, it is automatically transmitted via the fiber optic with the video. This also applies to the SDI at the 270Mb/s and the HDSDI at 1.485 gigabytes.
What is Attenuation?
In the reduction of optical power, which passes through the fiber and is expressed via decibels, the attenuator is the way that the signal powers the optic link which causes loss.
What is the difference between the Riser And the Plenum-Rate Fiber?
The riser or PVC fiber is a polyvinyl chloride outer jacket that has toxic fumes if it burns. It’s ideal for horizontal as well as vertical runs. However, only if there is a proper ventilation system should it be used. It can replace riser, however, it can’t be used in plenum areas.
